Yes. Every recording feature is free, with no watermark, no sign-up, and no recording length limit.

Do I need to create an account to record?

No. Recording, pausing, downloading, and saving locally all work without an account. A free passkey unlock is only needed to connect a cloud drive or Slack.

Is there a recording length or file size limit?

No. Capture and encoding happen on your own device, so length is limited only by your device's storage and memory.

What browsers does it work on?

Screen recording works in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on desktop. Camera-only recording also works on mobile browsers. Safari saves recordings as MP4.

Does Drefly store my recording?

Recordings save locally on your device by default. If you turn on a shareable link, your file syncs straight to your own connected drive, not to Drefly's servers.

Can I convert my recording to a different format?
